Dear Event and Program Director,
I enjoy speaking on leadership roles and how to tweak your individual style. Being in leadership for a number of different organizations, I've learned that what Judy Garland told her daughter Liza Minelli:
"Be a first rate version of yourself, not a second rate version of someone else." is completely true in leadership situations.
You will never gain the respect, cooperation and trust of those you are working with if you "try to be" a leader. Just be yourself, and do the leading. How difficult it can be to take off the mask and open the heart to trust others and embrace opportunities that expose your vulnerabilities ... but that is exactly that makes the best leaders!
Identify the needs in the situation/project/relationship and determine how to meet the needs. When you do that, your vision will clear, and you'll naturally have a team forming around you to meet that end.
Something so simple, yet profoundly under-used. I am eager to hear all the good reports about how this presentation gave your members the tools and encouragement that changed their lives!
This is one of my more popular presentations and incorporates a lot of very individualized thinking and self-analysis during the program. Your guests will be profoundly affected.
Please let me know how I can assist you in achieving your goals for this event.
Many Blessings,
Chris Anne Johnson

Empower the leader within you.

It's often easy to identify your own strengths and areas of confidence. On the other hand, your uncertainty and weaknesses are more apparent to others and can really hinder your influence. Stop wandering in your leadership style and you'll gain support and teamwork. Learn about identifying the vision. Being a great leader takes work, and a servant's heart toward employees, family members, ministry teammates. Create a self-evaluation and plan to keep you on track, gain trust and earn respect.
Equipment Needs: LCD projector. We provide the laptop.
Presentation Time: 45 minute Keynote
or 60-90 minute Break-out session.
Chris Anne - Motivational Speaker - loves to inspire people to move forward toward their dreams. She is a "helper" in every sense. She wants to help, to impart what she's learned, and one her favorite things is to watch people take the skills and encouragement she shares with them and turn it into amazing successes. She sees herself as part of a larger team of women business owners and her place is to provide the tools and then cheer them on.
She's very active in the national birth community. Her passion for mothers and babies began her on the journey toward speaking for groups. She achieved birth doula certification through DONA (Doulas Of North America) in 2002 and has attended over 30 births since both as a doula and as a student midwife. She's published a number of prenatal and postpartum guidebooks including "Mrs. Johnson's Postpartum Menu". She's one of the founders of Take Birth Back International and is a co-founder and the Training Director of the Trust Birth Initiative. She's truly a pioneer. In everything she does, she finds uncharted territory and goes there.
Chris Anne - Motivational Speaker - is also the founder and owner of MaternityWise.com. MaternityWise is an organization that now trains and certifies postpartum doulas to care for new mothers and their newborns. A very unique aspect of this program is that the doulas are also taught to be business women. They receive exclusive birth business start-up and growth education directly from Chris Anne to help them earn a substantial income while they pursue their passion for birth and the postpartum period. No other certifying birth professional organization offers this important piece of training.
Chris Anne - Motivational Speaker - was interviewed in January, 2004 by Pat Miles on local news radio station WCCO about doulas and childbirth. She continues to encourage women in their journeys toward motherhood. She has spoken at Women's Retreats for the Christian and Missionary Alliance, and has done a number of presentations for single parents in local churches on stress, balance, and family living. She been published in a number of online resources including "Worldlight Fellowship", "The Preacher's Desk" with Emmanuel Eckwo and "Jesus Online" with Johnny Angel. and "The Christian Writer's Network" with Mark North. She's also been published in print magazines such as Healthy Beginnings and the Single Times.
Chris Anne - Motivational Speaker - loves to dance is also a co-founder and an instructor for Jump 4 Joy, a Christian club for girls who love to dance. She travels with their "Troupe" leading worship dance workshops, while building up or planting seeds for dance ministries everywhere they go.
As busy as she is, she finds time to teach in a number of community ed districts and for business enrichment organizations around the state of MN and coast to coast. She enjoys teaching locally for most of the year so that she can be near her family. Please see the Home page for a current calendar of engagements.
